From Play Now to the first turn

  1. Press Play Now and leave the loading bar on screen until it finishes.
  2. If the game shows a menu, choose Rotate Rings.
  3. Find the gap in a ring and the piece connecting it to another loop.
  4. Drag along the ring with a mouse or finger until the gap meets that connection.
  5. Let the loops separate, then read the next ring. Keep an eye on the countdown.

A web game, not an install

Rotate Rings stays in the browser. There is no file to save and no store page on this site. The first visit downloads the game’s own art and code into the player; that is the game loading, not an app installing.

A phone, a tablet, or a computer can all start the same page. Drag with a finger or a mouse. If the frame stays empty, use Reload, or open Rotate Rings in a separate window (opens in a new tab).

Rotate Rings questions

The player at the top of this page is the game. These answers cover the browser version: how to start it, how a turn works, and what “no download” does and does not mean.

Is Rotate Rings free to play online?

Yes. Open this page and press Play Now. The puzzle loads in your browser. This site does not charge for access and does not ask you to create an account.

Do I have to download Rotate Rings?

No. There is no installer and no app-store build on this site. The game files load when you press Play Now. You do need a connection; no download does not mean offline play.

How do I rotate a ring?

Click or tap a colored ring and drag along its arc. The opening moves with the ring. Aim that opening at the piece connecting it to another loop, then let the release finish before the next turn.

Can I play on a phone or tablet?

Yes. Drag with a finger the same way you would drag with a mouse. The page fits a tall screen. After the game loads, the fullscreen control uses the rest of the display.

What if the player stays blank?

Wait for the loading bar to finish, then use Reload. If it is still empty, open Rotate Rings in its own window from the game guide. Tap inside the frame before you try to drag.
